Additional Service Centers for Diesel Engines

Lichtenstein – Centurion Aircraft Engines continuously expands its service network for the Centurion diesel aircraft engines. The service network was strengthened by appointing new fixed base operators (FBO), particularly in North America. With Scheiling Aircraft Service there has been appointed the 40th Service Center in Germany.

"We reached additional milestones in our service, with the main focus being on the North American market. Our warehouse in Dallas, Texas, has been further stocked up during the last weeks with the arrival of new gearboxes and clutches as well as gearbox oil, thus ensuring its availability in the U.S. We also authorized three more FBOs as Service Centers. In North America we now have 75 Service Centers, out of a total of 320 FBOs in our worldwide network including our newest member Scheiling Aircraft Service," said Jasper M. Wolffson, CEO of Centurion Aircraft Engines AG & Co. KG, the company which leads the market of jet fuel aircraft engines in General Aviation. "In the year 2010 160 seminar participants have been trained on how to maintain Centurion engines in our courses in Dallas (USA) and Lichtenstein (Germany), and the remainder of 2011 training seminars, which will be held in Lichtenstein in February and May as well as in Dallas in March, are already well booked. Also, I am pleased that we have found another partner who is taking care especially of the Robin Ecoflyer with the 155 hp Centurion 2.0s. It is the Finch Aircraft distributor MAS Maintenance Air Service GmbH of Leutkirch, Germany," Wolffson added.

Key milestones have already been achieved in the service campaign, such as the extension of service life to 1,500 hours and the elimination of the time-consuming and costly factory inspection at the 1,200-hours maintenance interval. All authorized Centurion Service Centers can perform the 1,200-hours inspection of the Centurion 2.0. With more than 320 Service Centers, Centurion engines are part of one of the largest service networks in General Aviation, with locations on every continent. Currently more than 2,600 Centurion engines are being operated in a range of different aviation settings, having logged over 2.6 million flight hours.
