Further International Certifications

Lichtenstein - Since the beginning of 2006, Thielert has gained numerous international aviation certifications. On March 3, 2006 the type certification was awarded to the Centurion 1.7 in Canada. This certification opens the way for aircraft manufacturers, such as the Canadian Dependance from Diamond Aircraft Industries, to have their aircraft in Canada equipped and certified with these jet fuel piston aircraft engines. In March, the supplemental type certification was additionally extended to cover the Piper PA28-161 Cadet, Warrior II and Warrior III models in New Zealand. Furthermore, by the end of April Thielert had obtained approval for all of its EASA certifications in Norway, Iceland, Tanzania, Kenya, Peru and India. These certifications range from the type certifications for the Centurion 1.7 and 4.0 through the conversion certifications for the Centurion 1.7 to the Cessna 172-, Piper PA28- and Robin DR400 series. South Africa validated the type certification and all supplemental type certifications for the Centurion 1.7. The supplemental type certifications for the Piper PA28-140 and -151 models are expected soon; the relevant documentation has been submitted in full to the EASA.
