Product Improvements for Fuel System and Maintenance Intervals
|
|
Lichtenstein - For the aviation models Cessna 172 and Centurion 1.7, Thielert was able to develop and have certified an important product improvement to the fuel system. Installation kits are now fitted with a “both” valve, which can now supply the Centurion 1.7 from both aerofoil tanks, meaning that there is no more switching between the tanks during operation. In addition, for the Cessna 172 P model, the take-off weight has been increased from 1.043 kg to 1.089 kg. This means that the Cessna 172 P has reached its original Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) and the load capacity and range for this model has thus been increased. The fleet of aircraft equipped with Centurion engines continues to be widely used. In the meantime more than 120,000 cumulated flight hours have been completed using aircraft engines made by Thielert.
